Solarus on Palmer Street will provide a new benchmark in style and design for Townsville, responsive to the tropical location on Ross Creek. Designed by Sanjiv Malhan of PCA Architects, the architecture embodies a clean modern expression in waterfront living. Roof overhangs, pergolas and distinctive shading devices encourage passive temperature control. Vivid white exterior walls are complimented by the aqua and silver balustrades to thoughtfully express a sophisticated North Queensland sensibility. All apartments are designed for optimal cross ventilation for improved amenity and sustainability, with multiple lift cores providing the highest levels of luxury and security. Only two apartments are accessed from the lift on any residential level. The development comprises 73 luxury apartments situated on the river, close to Townsville's city centre, over 12 storeys. A tavern and restaurant cover the ground level, with terraces offering views out towards the ocean.
