Mavida Balance

The former Hotel Katharina was turned into the region’s first Design hotel with an ambience of wellbeing. ‘Ma vida’ is Spanish and means an attitude towards life: to derive pleasure from food, drink and celebrating, to enjoy life… It is situated in the heart of the Europa Sport Region Zell am See – Kaprun. The hotel stands well away from the noisy traffic routes, on the southern bank of the beautiful Zeller Lake. The architecture is in line with the hotel’s philosophy. The use of traditional materials and the clear-cut lines are noticeable throughout the hotel. The Interior Designer Niki Szilagyi from Munich had already gathered experience while working in the team of famous architect, Matteo Thun, and had participated in hotel projects such as the Vigilius Mountain Resort in South Tyrol and the Side in Hamburg.
