Joker Toerisme Head Office

This project is situated close to the railway and beside a river. As part of an existing building complex, only the rearmost building has been kept and renovated, its rational concrete structure providing an attractive double height space. The new building at the street is linked to the existing one. The volumes form an inner yard that serves as a recreation space and a small parking lot. Both buildings are clad in grey shingles, which unite the two volumes formally. The shell construction was conceived in such a way that it could also function as a finished state. This strategy saves material and time and results in a more economical building without effecting quality, at the same time enhancing flexibility and sustainability.
