Hotel Unique is an architectural landmark first, a hip venue for beautiful trendies second, while its role as a hotel comes in a third. The greenish, copper-plated half sphere (hence the nickname 'watermelon'), dotted with giant porthole windows is 25 metres high and stands alone in an otherwise low-rise area. With residences to one side and services to the other, it is hard to miss.
