The Helsinki Music Center (Finnish: Helsingin musiikkitalo) is a concert hall and a music center in Helsinki. It is located on the site of the former VR warehouses, which is between Alvar Aalto's Finlandia Hall and KIASMA Museum (Steven Holl). The main hall seats 1700 people. Besides that it hosts five smaller auditoriums. In addition, the building accommodates some premises of the Sibelius Academy, coffee shops and a restaurant. The project was started already in 1992. Finally the Music Center opened in the autumn of 2011.
