Atelier Pedagogique
In 1990, the triangular 15th century castle was transformed by Swiss artist Gittfried Honegger into a centre for contemporary art (espace de l'art concret).
Honegger commissioned architect Marc Barani, in 1998, to design a workshop-building where children are invited to create art with artists.
The architect studied carefully the site and placed the introverted building in a way that only the wooden roof-terrace can be seen from the old castle. The roof becomes a public space in front of the castle. Underneath and partly digged into the ground, the building opens itself with big windows to a courtyard.
