Atelier Houses
Bruno Elkouken | |
| location | Paris |
| function | atelier, housing, theatre |
| contributed by | alekf |
Designed by Bruno Elkouken a French architect of Polish-Jewish origin who had to flee to United States during the Second World War - produced only five buildings in Paris. In this project he used bow-windows over two floors resulting in a façade, showing a composition of cubist volumes. The effect is reinforced by setting back the upper storey terraces. The abstract composition is underlined by the graphic effect of the window frames materialised in black metal.
