The Villas House Ensemble Lange and Haus Esters is one of the architectural highlights of the new in Germany and still offers an impressive way the Bauhaus idea of the unity of space and the subject, as well as the interaction between mind and crafts provided. In 1927 the architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe presented the clients Hermann Lange and Josef Esters a first draft of the drawing. In 1930 houses of the families Lange and Esters were joined. The houses have now been converted into museums for Contemporary art.
