Breath Building Geox tower
The building is a renovation of a pre-existing building in Torino Street, one of the most important Milanese axes. Due to the impossibility to renovate the façade "in style", the studio decided to build a very recognizable landmark without overbearing the context. Only the structural frame has been maintained. The new facade is composed by a metal frame that supports windows and opaque surfaces. The second transpiring skin is composed by perforated plates: it's heat exchanger, solar filter and optical corrector. The necessity to solve the problem of congestion and cement jungle has inspired autumnal colour of the skin. The corner of the building hosts contemporary artwork that will change periodically.
