The pavilion for contemporary door producer Sofia, has been developed as a light space. A striking and eye-catching design perfectly reflecting the company's image. The main structure is composed of hanging white elements, which took the form of the company's S-shaped logo. A specially designed hanging system was implemented in order to give the elements the appearance of being blown in the wind, bringing a dynamic feel to the pavilion. The pavilion has a sinuous shape that plays with shadow, light and space. The interplay of light and shadow change with the light on the curving interior walls during the day. Architecturally the pavilion was conceived with a single structural unit, repeated to create a circular exhibition space. The elements are made from high-density expanded polystyrene, a lightweight, compact and completely recyclable material. A single vertical module is around four meters long and is repeated over one hundred times.
