Designed and built between 1956-1957 by BBPR, the Canadian Pavilion was inaugurated in 1958 for the XXIX Biennale. Built on the little hill of San Antonio and located between the British and German Pavilions, the Canadian structure had to respect the surrounding trees and disappear into the landscape. The pavilion has an octagonal shape, brick walls and metallic roof beams, supported by a central pillar in concrete.
