The E1 building flanks the new piazza ant the new canal ditched in the south-east quadrant of the area. The front toward the piazza, resting on a long public portico, consists of a screen of stone slabs of different colours and textures topped by a prominent corniche which frames the view toward the Laguna. The simpler water side is pierced on the ground floor by portals which increase its visual permeability. This project is part of a larger urban plan on the island La Giudecca by Cino Zucchi Architects. (also published on MIMOA)
