The municipal monument the Theo Thijssen School, Noordewierweg in Amersfoort, is the new home for dependent residents. In addition, a number of rooms used for day care and a new residential building were built. The school has been built in the thirties and was designed by the city architect Van Der Tak. Over the years, several characteristic elements disappeared. The new building has its own character by means of detail and material colour. The design is attached to the monument. Nursing Care Birkhoven and will offer small scale buildings.
