KunstENhuis
The ARTandHOUSE project is part of the Amsterdam cultural hotspot: Westergasfabriek. A beautiful park and 10 cultural monuments by N2 architekten. It's a design for a small village of eight pavilions around three historical buildings. The project was the first phase of a bigger plan by the architect and consists a cultural workshop and an artist-in-residence. Local and (inter)national artists can work, stay and present their works here on a temporary base.
The architects used black tinted wooden façades, aluminium roofs, and white wooden window frames to form the envelope of the 8 blocks. Bricks pattern form the accessible landscape between the pavilions.
