An empty piece of grass-land, right next to the historic city centre of Spakenburg was reshaped into a lively living-working-shopping area. This new added quarter Spakenburg Centrumplan Oost comprises principally apartments with commercial functions under neath altering family houses and jointed villas. By including new shops to the urban plan, the adjacent city centre got revaluated aswell. And thanks to the large underground parking the reachableness improved considerably. At the same time it lead to an essential variation of different types of dwellings. By considering the authentic nature of the village and lots of importances of residents and retailers the urban plan managed to intensify the city centre of Spakenburg as a whole.
