This office building is designed to replace the housing that was on this corner, and used as office space by Shell. It is part of the big metamorphosis the whole complex had to undergo. The master plan for this renovation-project was designed by ELV together with Braaksma en Roos architects. The new office building strongly relates to its existing neighbours, but has its own, modern, contemporary look. The classical composition of the façade together with the very precise and delicate detailing give it a deceptively simple charisma. The building clearly has its own character, but is obviously part of a larger whole. The window frames are filled with structural glazing glued together, which enhances the monumental feeling.
