Boscotondo consists of a number of new buildings, which give this industrial canal area a modern appearance. The heart of the design is, literally, a round forest. This wood is the canter of a large, open plaza. Around a circular clearing created at the centre of this abandoned industrial area we find aligned in good order residences and clumps of trees, while on the roadways and the main thoroughfares, public buildings find their proper place: art galleries, cafés, cinemas, as well as municipal bureaus and a city museum. The whole area is divided into three figures, the magic circle of Boscotondo, the triangular garden, and the square park of that old home Villa Begemann.
