Residential tower in Maastricht, near Plein 1992 (urban plan by Jo Coenen), the Ceramique district. The tower's facade is partly clad with white marble, partly with zinc. The 16 storeys make it a 54 meter high building. At the end of the central avenue this is a central landmark, forming the link between the old town and the new Céramique-project. Because of this relation Alvaro Siza has project the three building volumes apart from each other, but still they are situated on the same spot. The volumes are turned towards the different angles of the streets and this way the building works as a hinge in the urban fabric.
