There is enough free space on the Nijmegen Campus of the HAN on the Laan van Scheut to construct a sizeable building. In 2006 estate agents HAN Vastgoed commissioned LIAG to design a plan within the framework of the master plan, maximising the possibilities for the FEM faculty, within the limitations of the zoning plan. Officially the building will be built in three phases, because the new zoning plan that was made official in the summer of 2008 now allows for a third floor. Phase A includes the ground floor and the 1st floor of half the total area. Phase B consists of the 2nd floor on that part of the building constructed in phase A, and phase C (three storeys) consists of the completion of the entire project representing approximately 14,000 m2 constructed above ground.
