Centro de Arte Contemporânea Graça Morais
The architectural project of the Center for Contemporary Art is designed by the architect Eduardo Souto Moura. The plan focused on the recovery and expansion of an old building of the seventeenth century. Work began in October 2004 and continued until June 2008. The infrastructure consists of three distinct bodies: 1 thereof, the existing building, the Manor of Veiga Cabral, or former Bank of Portugal, the 2, built in the old garden of the manor, works as an area of connection between the sun and the new building, an exhibition area and services and has a garden and terrace and 3, facing Rua Emidio Navarro, represents the main nave of temporary exhibitions.
