This café is situated along the river Douro in the old city centre. It is a simple glazed pavilion, integrated into the lively quayside surroundings. When all the glass doors on the south side are opened, the café is transformed into a large, covered open-air terrace. The only solid boxes are the two service-zones inside, one for the bar, and the other for sanitary services. The pavilion seems to hover above the ground on a small raised platform. The terrace has an amazing canopy, resembling the sails of the ships passing by.
