Eugène Ionesco was a Romanian and French playwright and dramatist, and one of the foremost playwrights of the Theatre of the Absurd. Beyond ridiculing the most banal situations, Ionesco's plays depict in a tangible way the solitude and insignificance of human existence. He was born in the town of Slatina This project is a refurbishment of an existing cinema structure. The new structure includes a theatre hall (200 places), 2 cinemas (50 places each), 4 hotel rooms for visiting actors, a permanent Eugene Ionesco exhibition and a coffee-shop. Theater hall has been solved in a multipurpose hall formula. The Interior finish consists mainly of Topakustik planks. The facades are made out of Trespa panels and Faveton antigraffitti gress tiles.
