Love House

We received the assignment to construct a wedding present. Not an object, but a place. A single place for only two persons: a love house. It is hidden in a forest conserved miraculously in the heart of La Moraleja, Madrid. Simply with a curtain we created the place. A translucent curtain that gathers a world of reflections and shades. The Love House dissolves in its surroundings. It proposes a reading in constant mutation with the oaks, the firs, the rockroses… The curtain, as well; it surrounds the intimate space of both; almost like a low fog that insinuates the continuous movements of the interior: the arrival, the water, the reflection, undressing, jacuzzi, the bedroom,... But everything is not continuous. Hairy boxes close the most intimate of each one. They are covered with vegetation and they insert a piece of forest in the house. The transparencies, the sun, the reflection, the curtain, the colors of the sedum...
