Beluso Harbour Facilities

While looking at the unresolved interface between the harbour platform and the scarred hillside, the architects' gaze was towards a virtual geometry of a topographic nature, perceived here as an absence. This geometry, already present in the site, enabled the project to be proposed as the sum of the ascending itinerary from the plane of the water and the interface areas occupied by the harbour sheds. The idea of endowing the town with a public space was superimposed on the design process, reviving an urban structure of intertwined streets as they climb up the hillside. The building thus magnifies its presence and its public dimension through the provision of a range of programmes.
