Church and teaching centre

The volume of the library and the staff room 'floats like a big cross', expressing the religious nature of the project. In the same way, the entrance to the Church is presented by a gentle slope and a pergola that gives the building an 'anti-monumental' scale. Splitting up the volume of the roof in different levels reduces this scale even more. The western façade of the building, where all the classrooms are situated, is projected with a concrete cantilever on which a series of laminated brise-soleil will draw. The interior of the school will be organized around a large space with zenithal illumination, which has the perfect capacity to celebrate cultural and outdoor events at wintertime.
