Health Care Centre San Blas
To control the views, this health care centre has massive windowless walls of exposed concrete with a rough texture of wooden formwork. The public area on the ground floor is divided into an administrative and a health section and organized around thirteen courtyards. The waiting areas are conceived as widened corridors and illuminated by the courtyards. Apart from a parking lot, the basement accomodates service and store rooms, dressing rooms and a small pool. Whitewashed walls and ceiling, together with the deep blue tiles provide a good combination with the exposed concrete that extends toward the interior spaces.
