Kindergarten Arganda del Rey
The building consists of a number of cylindrical spaces, each containing classrooms or facility areas. The brightly coloured classrooms are located on the southside and capture the sun, the other functions are on the northside and more sober in expression. In contrast with the colourful protected 'huts', the central space shows its unfinished in situ concrete walls. This interconnecting space is tuned to the perception of the children: it can't be overseen in one glance to give them a feeling of enclosure and safety.
