Sports Hall
The new sports hall is built on the land where a thick grove grew before. The green of the leaves and the shadows are reproduced in the pixel pattern of the new pavilion's facade. Ahead of this one, a second skin of polycarbonate blends the colors of the facade and the real dimension of the building. The building image changes as the time of the day or the angle of vision.
The double facade works likewise in the thermal conditioning of the building. The heat captured thanks to the greenhouse effect is used during the winter, while in summer it causes a flow of natural ventilation. The main volume is raised a few feet off the ground by releasing a fully glazed ground floor, so it is possible to practice sports in the interior with permanent view to the outside.
The volume subtly hides from the surroundings as if, despite its huge size, because of its own shyness, it was trying to disappear.
