The client-developer wanted to build two double houses, as big as possible, on a plot that constitutes a link between an older residential area with single family houses and some recently built five-storeys apartment buildings. The four units meet the regulated maximum size and still the round buildings appear as freely placed in a continuous garden landscape. Large horizontal windows offer each unit a 180 panoramic view. The plans are very simple and draw upon the fact that even the small rooms are no less than 15-20 sqm. Entrance and kitchen are placed behind sliding doors in an otherwise completely open ground floor level. Construction is in situ cast concrete, externally insulated and clad with planed and black stained wood.
