Shortly before his death, architect Rudolf Olgiati donated his collection of cultural assets to the municipality of Flims on the condition that 'Das Gelbe Haus' (The Yellow House) in the heart of Flims was rebuilt according to his liking. Before all, it had to be "painted white from top to bottom". In 1997, his son, Valerio Olgiati, was comissioned by the municipality to redesign the house into a museum (text from website museum).
