'Designed to Deliver'- the design that has been applied to the new campus has created a state of the art centre of learning. The new campus has resolved the circulation and security shortcomings of the old College (which was housed in several buildings across the campus) and has consequently created a secure learning environment with ease of circulation between all facilities. The building revolves around its innovative ETFE roofed atrium space which ties together the old and new buildings and creates a central circulation spine. Importantly it has created a modern and flexible learning environment which is attractive to both learners and employers and offers flexibility of use to meet skills needs. The new build accommodation combined with the retention of the historic Merchants House building provides an internal environment of unique and distinctive character.
