This is a luxury residential development in one of the most affluent parts of London. It comprises of four linked towers of 10, 12, 14 & 12 storeys. They are arranged to compliment the existing street scene, providing 81 units of various sizes with three retail units at ground floor and four basement parking levels. There is also an underground link to the adjacent Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The walls of each tower are splayed to maximise, light and views. The facades are broken vertically into two storey high bays and in-filled with a series of vertical copper blades set in front of the windows. These are angled to control solar gain, privacy and views. When completed in early 2011, the development attracted a good deal of adverse publicity over the prices being asked for the flats. This rhetoric should be ignored and instead visitors should revel in the quality of the architecture.
