In 2006 S333 won first prize in an international competition to complete an affordable housing scheme in Bow East London called Tarling East. In July 2008 Tarling East was completed marking their first completed housing project in the UK. Tarling East consists of 32 dwellings that range in size from one-bedroom apartments to six-bedroom family homes. Units range from one-bedroom apartments, to six bedroom family homes that can accommodate up to 10 people. As part of the scheme, S333 designed a row of three floor modern homes, which redefines the traditional London terrace block, combining elements of terrace houses with the patio house. This unique scheme brings large family houses into the heart of the city, resulting in a new concept of urban living in an inner city environment.
