Zog House

Single family house and self contained apartment incorporating unique Solidspace split-level form on a tight suburban plot. Zog House incorporates the trademarked Solidspace form, creating a feeling of volume, light and character, using a split-section layout evoking the best in classic mid-century modern design. Solidspace has taken this typology and brought it into the 21st century. The concept for the home is the relationship between living, working and eating; all three zones are connected yet private. The kitchen is at the heart of the home, the living room is offset by half a storey, connected to the kitchen while remaining a calmer place for reflection, and the study is separated from the living room by a further half storey and allows extra privacy.
